Connecting a shop to accounting software · 2026

A program that moves stock, prices and orders between the shop's website and its accounting software on its own.

What was there

Orders sat in the shop's website while stock and invoices sat in the accounting software. With a manual transfer, sold-out products kept selling online.

Prices lagged too: a price changed in accounting reached the site days later.

How I built it

Instead of a cloud service, the program runs on the store's own computer, where the accounting software already lives.

The transfer runs both ways: orders to accounting, stock and prices back to the shop.

Products are matched between the two sides, which was the most fragile part: the same product can carry different codes in each system.

What I did

  • Matching products between the shop and the accounting software.
  • Moving stock, prices and orders.
  • Installing the program on the store's computer and keeping it running.

I can do the same for you.
